Thermoplastic polyolefin is the workhorse of Gulf Coast low-slope roofing. Its white surface reflects most of the solar load that turns a dark roof into a 170°F griddle in August, and every seam is hot-air welded into a single monolithic sheet that is stronger than the membrane itself.
We install 60 and 80 mil TPO mechanically attached, induction welded or fully adhered over polyiso insulation and cover board, sized to the wind uplift your insurer and the building code require. Most of our distribution center work is 60 mil mechanically attached with tapered insulation to fix ponding at the drains.

Often, yes. If core cuts and an infrared scan show dry insulation and the building has only one existing roof, a recover with a cover board can save tear-off and disposal cost. Texas code limits you to two roof layers.
Mechanically attached systems involve screw guns, so we schedule fastening over sensitive areas early in the morning or on weekends. Induction welded and adhered systems are quieter.
On roofs with heavy service traffic or where you want the longest NDL term, 80 mil adds about 8 to 12 percent to the membrane cost and meaningfully more wear layer.
